.44 caliber, 8" barrel, S/N 123679 (ca. 1863). Blued finish with replacement one-piece walnut grip. Top of barrel shows one-line Colt New York address. Typical colt markings with grips showing faint military cartouches. Cylinder appears to have been cut down.
Fair. Overall plumb patination to barrel with some evidence of cleaning and polishing to brass parts of frame. Cylinder scene obliterated with some evidence of harsh cleaning on frame. Mainspring appears broken. Handling wear and blemishes to grips.
