Colt Model 1860 Army

.44 caliber. 8" barrel length. SN: 53385. Single-action percussion revolver with hammer notch and German silver blade sights. Manufactured with blued metal finish and casehardened hammer, frame, and lever. One-piece wood grips show weak but visible inspector cartouches to both sides. Revolver is a three-screw frame type with cutouts for mounting Colt's shoulder stock. Top of barrel marked "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA" with "COLTS/PATENT" mark to left frame. Cylinder shows patent mark in addition to serial number. Serial numbers match except for wedge, which is accompanied by a replacement wedge screw. Forward grip strap shows "H" mark near triggerguard with "B" marks to cylinder and barrel. Comes in unsigned flapless leather holster with brass fittings.

Condition:

Good. Bore is dark with oxidized spots throughout. Overall metal finish is a gray to brown patina with some additional scratches and dings. Brass gripstrap has some tarnish in corners and at edges near frame and grip. Wood grip finish worn with a chip to lower edge and some mars. Leather holster shows crazing overall with some wastage at upper edge. Brass components are tarnished. Action of pistol is functional with loose lockup.
