.36 caliber, 7.5" barrel, S/N 50139 (ca. 1856). Visible numbers matching. Cleaned finish with plain wood grips. Top of barrel marked with one-line New York Colt address. Left side of frame marked with two-line patent dates over faint, possibly spurious "U.S." marking. TOp of barrel cut for missing rear sight block. Includes holster.
Condition:
Fair. Some darkening on cleaned finish, as well as some removed pitting. Some rust and pitting under hammer. Grips show some wear and missing portions around corners of butt. Action does not function normally. Bore is fair; dark with a brown color. Some pitting and light active rust. Rifling is visible with some rounded edges to lands.
