.36 caliber, 7.5" octagonal barrel length, S/N 103696. The top of the barrel marked in single-line with Colt New York address. Left side of the frame marked "Colt's Patent." Faint Naval battle scene present on the cylinder. Blue and case color finish with silver-plated brass back strap and triggerguard. Smooth varnished walnut grips.
Very good condition with the blue and case color finish blending to a plum patina throughout. Wear to the high edges and muzzle. Some of the silver plating is present on the brass back strap and triggerguard. The grips retain a lot of the varnish with handling wear, nicks and dings. The bore has strong rifling with some oxidation in the grooves. Mechanically functional.
