Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver

.31 caliber, 5" octagonal barrel, S/N 142901 (mfg. ca1858). Blued and color casehardened finish, silver plated backstrap and triggerguard. Matching numbers throughout, including wedge and grip. Two-line bracketed New York barrel address, 5-shot cylinder with Stagecoach Hold Up roll scene.

Condition:

Very good. Retains some strong traces of blue on the barrel and some traces of color on the frame with a mostly mottled gray patina. Loading lever with more vivid color. Backstrap and triggerguard with much of the silver plating which is heavily tarnished. Markings clear, most of the scene is visible, mechanically functional, bore very good and evenly oxidized. Grip with some varnish, chipped loss at the leading edges and scattered bumps and dings.
