Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver

.31 caliber, 4" barrel, S/N 142261. Blued and color casehardened finish, silver plated brass backstrap and triggerguard, smooth varnished one-piece walnut grip. Bracketed 2-line New York barrel address. Matching numbers, standard markings, 5-shot cylinder with roll engraved stagecoach holdup scene.

Condition:

Good. Retains some traces of blue with a moderately oxidized plum patina.  Brass with strong traces of tarnished silver. Clear markings, retains most of the cylinder scene, mechanically functional, good bore with moderate oxidation and some pitting. Tip of hammer nose broken off. Grips with much of their varnish with much of the loss due to high edge wear, wood showing scattered bumps and dings.
