.22 caliber, 26.75" round barrel with threaded muzzle, S/N 16952 (ca. 1894). Blued finish with checkered forend and plain wrist. Hooded blade front sight with modified v-notch rear sight, possibly intended for trick shooting or other sporting purposes. Top of barrel marked with two-line Hartford Colt address, left side of barrel forward of receiver marked with caliber. Left side of barrel and receiver also show British London Proof House markings.
Fair. Barrel has an overall plumb patina with some evidence of cleaning on address marks. Frame has a pewter and plumb coloration. Possible replacements screws on upper tang. Stock has some wear, checkering on forend has lost some of its definition with small portions of wood missing from around upper tang as well as some wear to finish. Bore is good, some shininess with light pitting. Good definition of rifling.
