Colt D.A. Model 1877 (Thunderer)
.41 caliber. 4.5" barrel length. SN: 30699. 3-screw frame. Double-action revolver with fixed 6-shot fluted cylinder and fixed notch and blade sights. Blued metal finish with checkered hard rubber grips. This item does not have a spur hammer, and it appears that the spur was either ground down or replaced with a spur-less hammer.
Condition:
Poor to Fair. Bore is dark and has heavy oxidation. Most of finish has depleted and metal surfaces have turned to grey-brown patina. There is active oxidation to barrel, cylinder, and in most crevices of the frame area.
Double-action does not function correctly and will need work. When trigger is pulled, hammer does not fully cock unless done manually. Trigger is then unable to return to set position after hammer has been released.
