Item displays a blued metal finish with checkered walnut grip panels outfitted with "{Colt Medallion}" inserts. Item has grip and thumb safety but lacks magazine safety of later models. Slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" to right slide and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A./PATENTED APR. 20, 1897. DEC. 22, 1903". The "{Rampant Colt}" logo appears to left slide behind cocking serrations. Comes with one magazine marked "CAL. 32/COLT" on floorplate. Some weakness to marks on left slide.
Condition:
Fine. Bore is bright with some patina to rifling near muzzle. Blued metal finish is strong with slight edgewear to slide and some flecked patina forming to frame behind trigger. Scratches to top of slide and rear left frame. Grip medallions show some wear while the checkering to grips has weakened to left side indicating handling wear. Magazine bluing is strong overall with hardening near feed lips. Action is functional but magazine safety nonfunctional.
