Lot of 10 reunion ribbons, all from the 35th OVI, dating from 1883 through 1919, some featuring illustrations. Accompanying the ribbons is a metal, ornamental piece measuring approx. 1.25 in. length, formed in the image of an acorn. Though missing the back closure, the acorn appears to have been designed as a type of pin. A similar acorn motif also appears on several of the reunion ribbons. Organized at Hamilton, OH, in September 1861, the 35th OVI witnessed intense fighting during its three years of service and participated in major battles most notably at Chickamauga.
Light soil on some ribbons, and tears on several others. At least one ribbon is in multiple pieces. Metal acorn pin is worn and back closure is incomplete.
