Civil War Stereoview of the Fighting McCooks,

regular sized, ivory mount. An outdoor scene, perhaps taken in their hometown of Lisbon, in Columbiana County, Ohio. Penciled id on verso "Wm D. McCook and 5 brothers in 1861." Alexander, in his Colonel's uniform, is visible at the far right. The hat pins on the Hardee hats and kepis all show infantry horns save for one (pin not visible). A total of 14 of the McCook clan saw service for the Union in the War, with four attaining the rank of General. A rare, probably unpublished image.

Condition:Corners of mount bruised, image with slight surface soiling, but strong tonality.
