Civil War period military motif brass-cased key-wind pocket watch (dial with several hairline cracks and broken protective cover, unknown working condition). Brass case measuring 2.125 in., engraved with depiction of soldier that appears to have been struck by a bullet on front of case, verso with engraved depiction of sailing ship. Silver plate dust cover inscribed "M.J. Tobias / Liverpool." Fully extended watch chain with attached brass XIV Army Corps acorn watch fob measures approx. 6.5 in. Accompanied by watch key.
