Ninth plate daguerreotype seated portrait of a balding New York State militia soldier in full uniform including epaulettes and white buff cross belts and waist belt, with cross belt plate bearing the numeral "14" encircled by a wreath. N.p.: n.p., n.d. (Some spotting to plate, with minor discoloration and soiling to mat; resealed.) Housed in a patriotic pressed paper case, George Washington, [Berg 4-63] (some surface wear and separation to spine with adhesive repair). Details on subject's uniform appear to be hand-tinted blue including collar, belt plate, and top of epaulettes.
