Civil War-era Union Belt Buckle

Civil War-era Union belt buckle with brass front and lead filled backside. Most likely a Stokes-Kirk Pattern 477 buckle with arrow hooks and a swept clasp. Approximately 3.375" length, 2.25" width. Item is cased in a 6.25" length, 5.25" width, 1" deep black cardboard display box. 


Brass buckle has developed a dark patina overall with some spots of surface oxidation to corners and backside. Edge of buckle has some wear, denting, and losses.
