H. approx. 11 in. cold cast bronze resin (loss and crack to Traveller's left foreleg and left rear hoof); 10 x 11 1/2 in. oval walnut base with brass title plaque, "'The Last Meeting' by Ron Tunison." 

Sculpture depicts the meeting between Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson, both on horseback, at the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863. Jackson launched a surprise attack on Union forces which resulted in a significant victory over General Hooker's much larger army. He was, however, shot by friendly fire and died shortly thereafter. Commissioned in 1988 by the American Print Gallery of Gettysburg for the Virginia Military Institute. Signed and numbered 412 of 1,000 in resin, with American Print Gallery certificate.
