Silver badge in form of crescent attached to unmarked hanger, 2.75 total height with hanger x 1.875 in. at widest point (some tarnish especially to crescent).

[With:] Name badge with paper tag ink identified to "Andrew Leffler, Marion, Ohio." HDS lists an Andrew Leffler who served with the 82nd Ohio Infantry, which was with the 1st Brigade, 3rd Division, XI Corps, Army of the Potomac, between 1862 and 1863. He enlisted on 11/20/1861 as a private. On 11/20/1861 he mustered into "D" Co. OH 82nd Infantry. He was discharged for wounds on 7/2/1862 at Columbus, OH. He was listed as: * Wounded 5/8/1862 McDowell, VA Promotions: * Corpl 12/21/1861. -- One cent grocery token identified to J.G. Leffler, Springfield, Ohio, ca 1880s. 

Although the consignor acquired the items together, we cannot confirm with certainty that the badge belonged to Andrew Leffler.
