Quarter plate ruby ambrotype of Union soldier fully equipped and standing at attention with his rifle and fixed bayonet (contrast a little weak). Housed in full, pressed paper case (reinforced at hinge, corner/edge wear, some surface loss).

Quarter plate tintype of a Union private with longe beard, wearing an unbuttoned, blue-tinted greatcoat, trousers that are tucked into his boots, an everyday shirt, and partially buttoned vest, one side of which is tucked into his trousers. He wears a wide-brimmed hat on his head. The photographer's stand is visible at his feet (few bends in plate that don't detract from image). Housed in half, pressed paper case (corner/edge wear).
