13 x 9 in. (sight), advertising a $75 bounty for nine months service.  Dated November 17, 1862, from a Plattsburgh, NY, printer, under the direction of C.N. Templeton.

It is not clear which specific unit this broadside was recruiting for, but there is some information on the recruiting sergeant.  Castle (or Castel) Noble Templeton (1840-1885) enlisted as a private at Ellenburg, NY, in late November 1861 and was assigned to Co. I, 1st New York Engineers.  He was discharged for disability the following May, at Hilton Head, but clearly yearned to contribute to the Union cause however he could.
