CDV capturing one of the more famous images of the Atlanta Campaign, with General Sherman resting his arm on a piece of field artillery, surrounded by his staff, at Federal Fort No. 2 in Atlanta. Although lacking a studio imprint, the photograph was originally taken by George N. Barnard in 1864.
Light toning, few very minor spots. Modern penciled notes on mount verso. Light corner/edge wear to mount. Very fine condition overall.
