Cased Colt Model 1855 Sidehammer Pocket Root Revolver
.28 caliber. 3.5" octagonal barrel length. SN: 20369. Blued metal finish with case hardened hammer and trigger. Plain walnut . Percussion revolver with frame notch rear sight and post front sight. Item features 5-shot cylinder with roll marked cabin scene. Barrel is marked with two line Colt Hartford address. Included is a wood case with black felt lining, 19 round ball shots, and cleaning rod.
Condition:
Fair. Bore is frosty and has residue to rifling. Finish shows heavy losses overall, with scratches, mars, and pitting. Cylinder does not turn when hammer is cocked. Action will need work. Wood grip shows losses to bottom, with mars and scratches to both sides. Wood case has dust accumulation to black felt interior, and some minor losses to wood exterior. Case lock does not close.
