C. Sharps Pepperbox Model 1C
.22 Rimfire caliber. 2.5" barrel length. SN: 25056. Four-barrel sliding breech pepperbox pistol with rotating firing pin mechanism. Item features a brass frame with blued metal finish to barrels and casehardened hammer. Left frame is marked "C. SHARPS/PAT" with remaining mark obliterated while right shows a partial "& CO/PA" marking. Pistol uses a spring plunger to front frame to unlock barrels.
Condition:
Good. Bores are dark with patina throughout. Blued finish to barrels shows overall wear with weakening near muzzle. Features patched patina overall. Casehardened finish to hammer is faint. Brass frame has some patina and weak markings around hammer screw. Grips retain varnish and show some wear to edges. Action is functional but barrels slightly loose.
