Butterfield alteration patent breech and bolster without the automatic priming system. Butterfield type hammer, with screw replaced during period of use. Includes sling swivels and reproduction 1842-type ramrod.
Good. Metal oxidized and pitted. Mechanically functional, bore dirty and pitted. Stock worn with repaired wood between lock and tang and opposite the tang, burn out forward of the lock. Numerous bumps and dings, some minor surface grain cracks and more moderate mars.
