Of spelter, with Fabrication Francaise Parisian foundry mark, commonly found on high quality recasted French bronzes, and unusual in this case given the subject matter. 15 in. in length and 16 in. high including base.

According to the consignor, his grandparents traveled extensively, and during the mid-1950s, brought this sculpture back from Europe. In all likelihood, this bronze is the product of one of Buffalo Bill's tours through Europe in 1886 (London) and 1889 (Paris), respectively.
