A Colonial American newspaper containing an inside page report of the marriage of Benjamin Franklin and Deborah Read's only daughter, Sarah "Sally" Franklin, to Richard Bache (page two, column three). 

Sarah "Sally" Franklin Bache (1743-1808) was a leader in relief work during the Revolutionary War and frequently served as her father's political hostess, as her mother had done before her death in 1774. She raised money for the Continental Army and is known for her involvement in the Ladies Association of Philadelphia. 


Minor wear along edges, including few chips/short tears. Few scattered spots, minor areas of soiling. Otherwise very fine condition.
