.44 R.F. caliber, 30.25" round-to-octagonal barrel, S/N 8587. With matching numbers throughout. The top flat of the barrel is marked Kentucky, along with the standard Ballard's patent, Ball & Williams and Merwin & Bray markings. Walnut stock and forearm, with sling swivels on the barrel band and the underside of the butt. With crescent buttplate.
The barrel retains most of the arsenal re-finish, with some small areas of fading. The frame has a mottled plum and dark patina. The forearm has some light handling marks, left side of forearm shows some wear near the barrel band. The comb of the butt stock has a crack, with some slight separation on the right where it meets the frame. The bore and mechanics are excellent.

We will transfer and ship the firearm to them, and they will then transfer it to you. Any charges for this service (which may include a background check) are between you and the dealer. If you come to Cowan’s in person to pick up your purchase(s), we can transfer a long gun to you directly. Handguns can only be transferred to Ohio residents.
