36" single edged blade with 26.5" median fuller. Brass three-branch guard with leather and wood grip. Iron scabbard. Right ricasso marked "US/A.D.K.", left marked "AMES MFG.CO/ABOTVILLE/1851". Blade is covered in etching and corrosion from a corrosive substance, possibly blood. Pommel is marked "A.D.K./11/J.W.F.". Includes leather sword knot.
Condition:
Fair. Blade has staining and dark etching from a corrosive substance. Guard has a dull luster. Grip has lost is wire wrapping with some wood showing through loss of leather grip. Scabbard has an overall salt and pepper patina with some light pitting.
