Printed in response to the Supreme Court's ruling in Brown v. Board of Education in 1954, these pamphlets mostly reprint speeches of Southern religious leaders and politicians. The Citizens' Council used aggressive propaganda, newspaper campaigns, and legal tactics to oppose integration. 1
