Murdock Bros. Comedians. Beverly, MA: Allen Show Print, ca 1920s-1930s. 19 x 26 in. poster (light scuffing light). -- Dance to Lloyd Dunncan and His All Colored Rythm [sic] Band Ambassadors of Swing. [Montreal?, Canada]: n.p., [ca 1930s]. 13 3/4 x 22 in. poster (some soiling, a few tears, loss at upper edge). Verso with pencil inscription: "Manager New Liskeard Dance Pavilion, New Liskeard, Ont." alongside a Canadian 1 cent stamp. The Ambassadors were founded by Myron "Mynie" Sutton in 1931 operating primarily out of Montreal and were one of the few African-Canadian jazz bands of the era. -- KPOO Presents the Grinders Groove Yard Featuring Those Mello Group Doo-Wopps from the Past. Oakland: Teleman Press, 1973. 17 x 22 in. poster (light soiling). Featuring the Nutmegs, the Heartbeats, the Channels, Sparrows Quartett, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, the Dreamlovers, the Harptones, and many others. The Grinders Groove Yard Doo-Wopp Show began on 27 October 1973 and aired from 1:00 am to 3:00 am on KPOO 89.5 FM in San Francisco. -- Together, 3 posters.
