Presumed second edition of a missionary's account of his time in South Africa among the native Black populations. The work was popular with at least six editions by 1865. RARE: internet records indicate that no copy has sold at auction, OCLC locates one copy of the 1843 edition (Beinecke Library, Yale University), and one copy of the preceding 1842 edition (British Library).
