Lot of 2: Carte de visite portrait of Abraham Lincoln seated in a studio setting, on mount with imprint of Elliott & Fry, 55 Baker Street, Portman Square [London]. A slightly cropped example of the photograph originally taken by Alexander Gardner in Washington, DC, November 8, 1863. 

Stereoview with applied paper label on verso including imprint of E. & H.T. Anthony & Co., New York, and title, "No. 4808 / Lincoln Memorial Dissected Leaves." With 2 cent revenue stamp on verso and inked initials, "A.H.C." Lower right corner creased, plus wear to other corners. Some soiling/staining on mount recto and verso, plus some surface abrasions on mount verso. 

 

Condition:

CDV: Toning to print, some light soiling/spotting on mount.
