A Superb Japanese Sterling and Enamel Tea Set, Samurai Shokai

Japanese, Meiji Period, with receipt of purchase from Samurai Shokai from 1915.  A total of 13 pieces, including a sterling and enamel overlay tray, all marked Samurai Shokai, Yokohama and Sterling.  Each piece finely enameled and and decorated with butterflies and irises. Two teapots, burner, coffee pot and three additional serving pieces. Original receipt of purchase remains with lot, purchase price of 400 yen. 21 x 16 in. (tray); ht. 10 in. (tallest teapot); overall wt. 93.43 ozt (without tray).

Condition:There are several dings and bruises to pieces, unpolished due to enamel, also the enamel is worn in areas.
