A Shinto Japanese Samurai Sword (Katana) Spuriously Signed Tadahiro

28" long blade with suguha hamonNakago with clipped jiri and eight-character signature "Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro" likely spurious. Nakago with shinto patina.  Iron tsuba with water buffalo in gilt highlights.  String wrapped handle with matching fuchi-kashira of priests.  Pine needle lacquer scabbard.  A very attractive katana.

Condition:

Stained throughout with details of hamon obscured. Some minor pitting visible.
