with tooled lip and shoulder, and short applied strap handle, the body with stencil decoration A. Conrad, New Geneva. Fayette Co. Pa. with sheaves of wheat.  

Height 10 1/2 inches.

A similar example was offered by Crocker Farm, March 24, 2018, with a restored spout and rim crack. They note that few pitchers made by Alexander Conrad have survived.


Heavy use wear, including chips and roughness, to top of rim and spout. Small chips to band at shoulder. Glaze crackling and salt and pepper pitting throughout body. At least one kiln pock visible.
