A Rare West Virginia Stoneware Jar

Nestorville, West Virginia, 19th Century

with flattened lip and tooled rim, the body with cobalt Star flanked by two cobalt stars, and Nestorville, W.VA. in cobalt below. 

Height 9 1/2 inches.

Originally cataloged by Crocker Farm as the only known example of stoneware from this tiny mountain town.
