A Rare John Hart (1795-1859) Pennsylvania Redware Jar

Mid 19th Century

ovoid form with flaring rim and tooled shoulder, base stamped J. Hart. 

Height 10 3/4 inches.

Hart worked in Birmingham, Allegheny County (1829-1833) and in Burgettstown, Washington County (1833-1859).


Several chips and dents to rim. Scratches and abrasions to glaze. Repaired hole on underside.
