A Queen Anne Fan-Carved Maple Flat-Top High Chest, Likely Connecticut, Circa 1760

Height 70 x width 40 x depth 22 inches. 


Item is in good overall condition. Refinished and minor age splits. The surface color is inconsistent. The base and the top appear to have lived a long time together and are likely original to one another. The backboards are all chestnut and appear to be original. Pine and chestnut secondary. The hardware is replaced.  Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.  Age cracks to the sides of the case. Central brass plate of the top drawer in the lower section is detached, but retained.  A few drawers show patches to their upper molded edge.  Replacements to the drawer runners.
