A Queen Anne Fan-Carved and Figured Maple Flat-Top High Chest, Likely Essex, Connecticut, Circa 1770

Height 71 1/2 x width 39 1/2 x depth 18 1/4 inches.

In overall good and stable condition.  Retains a nice finish with rich color throughout.  Refinished surface.  Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.  The hardware, while seemingly early, is replaced.  Age cracks to the sides of the case. The proper front left foot was previously cracked and reglued.   Patched lip to the upper right corner of the proper lower left drawer and two of the long drawers of the upper case, none longer than 1.5" x 1/4". There is an 8" x 3" triangular patch to the lower right corner of the drawer face of the bottom drawer in the upper case

Width of lower case 37 7/8 inches.
