Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, Pennsylvania, Second Half 19th Century
a semi-ovoid crock with tooled neck and applied lug handles, with free hand and unusual cobalt stenciled decoration incluidng a large central five point open star, with a small closed star inside, foliate stencils flanking the large star, and two closed five pointed stars bracketing a capacity mark, the neck with a stripe accented by a series of cobalt dots, along with other stripes, free hand floral devices, and various straight and way lines.
Height 14 inches.
One small "cooked" area affecting the "o" and "n" in Hamilton. Tight 11" crack on back and bottom of crock. Loss to rear end of right handle.
