3rd Model Winchester 1873 Saddle Ring Carbine

.38-40, 20" barrel, S/N 3279889B (mfg. ca1890). Blued finish, smooth straight grip stock with crescent buttplate and smooth forend retained by single barrel band. Standard barrel and tang markings. Ladder rear sight marked 1873, block and blade front sight, saddle ring at left rear of receiver. Butt trap void of cleaning rods.

Good. Metal with a thickly oxidized plum brown patina showing moderate amounts of scattered surface roughness and some light pitting. Mechanically functional, fair bore is heavily oxidized, moderately pitted and dark overall. Stock with wear, showing use and numerous scattered bumps, dings and mars.
