3 JULIA MARGARET CAMERON ALBUMEN PRINTS

3 prints by Julia Margaret Cameron.

The prints were originally unmounted, but relatively recently have been matted. Each print is 6 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches (visible size as matted is slightly smaller).

1) The first print is of a sitter unidentified in Julia Margaret Cameron The Complete Photographs, by Cox and Ford, where it is cat. no. 570. It's interesting that the only cataloged print of the image is as a cabinet card.

2) The second print is an 1868 image of Annie Chinery, who the next year would marry Julia's son Ewen. It is cat. no. 189 in Cox and Ford, and is previously known to exist both as a full-size print and a CDV.

3) The third print, copyrighted July 23, 1868, depicts Captain Speedy (B‡sh‡ FŽlika), DŽjatch Al‡mayou (son of the late King Theodore of Ethiopia), and Casa (DŽjatch Al‡mayou's attendant). It is cat. no. 1114 in Cox and Ford and is also known to exist in both full- and reduced-size prints.

This is a multi-item lot, so special packing fees apply. See the shipping terms for details.
