**1st Generation Colt Frontier Six Shooter

.44-40, 7.5" barrel, S/N 333287 (mfg. ca1916). Blued and color case hardened finish, checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips. Matching serial numbers on frame, triggerguard and butt. Grips scratch numbered to a different gun with #354410. Standard Colt markings, three-date in two-line patent mark on smokeless powder frame, kidney shaped ejector rod head. Includes a Colt Factory Letter confirming configuration and noting the gun was shipped to Pinney & Robinson in Phoenix, AZ on June 28, 1916. Includes Colt factory letter.

Very good. Retains some strong traces of blue in protected areas on the barrel with a moderately oxidized brownish-gray patina and some scattered surface roughness. Frame a mottled gray. Markings remain clear throughout, mechanically functional, fine bore. Grips with some light wear and faded to a medium brown, numbered to a different gun.
