19th Century Side Knife
13" blade stamped Cast Steel John Passmore. Overall length is 18". Blade is pitted and darkly patinaed. Wood handle, iron ferrule and wood pommel secured by 6 copper wire bands.
John Passmore was a blacksmith from Salina, New York (Onindaga County) according to the 1850 census.
Condition:
Knife is tight and solid and is in very good overall condition.
