19th Century German Scheutzen Signed G.W. Pistor

Approximately .56 caliber. 33" barrel length. SN: NSN. 19th century German scheutzen rifle with adjustable flip up notch and fixed pin sights. Browned metal finish to damascus barrel, with case hardened frame, brass accoutrements, and checkered perch belly stock with cheek rest. Features a heavy octagon barrel, serpentine European-style trigger guard, single set trigger, ebony forend, and Swiss-style buttplate. Markings include "G.W. Pistor junior in Schmalkaden" etched in gold to top side of barrel. 


Fair. Bore is dark. Most of finish has turned to a deep patina and has some pitting overall. Wood stock has craquelure to finish with some minor scratches and dings overall. Action is non-functioning. Trigger appears to be seized and does not release hammer when pulled.
