19th Century Blunderbuss

33mm shot. 13" flared barrel length. SN: NSN. Single shot flintlock blunderbuss (possibly English) featuring floral script engravings to barrel, frizzen, sideplate, and hammer. Browned or blued metal finish with checkered and floral cuts to straight grip stock. Also features a brass European-style trigger guard, ramrod pipes, and metal buttplate. All parts are unmarked and assumed to be of guild production. Item is without flint.

Fair. Bore is dark. Most of original finish has worn away and is now mottled with a grey patina. Left sideplate has heavy pitting. Appears that two repairs were made to toe and heel of buttstock. Stock shows some wear from age, with some scratches and losses overall.
