Cowan's September 26 – October 7 American History Timed Online Auction features a wide array of important historical objects including manuscripts, documents, photographs, textiles, and other artifacts representing some of the most important events and eras in American History such as the Revolutionary Period, the War of 1812, the Civil War, Westward Expansion, World War I and II, and more. As always, this auction is comprised of an abundance of early photography including plenty of remarkable Civil War images and a large collection of exceptional American Indian and Western photography. There are collections of Western scenery stereoviews, especially Yellowstone, Colorado, and California, by F.J. Haynes, W.G. Chamberlain, J. Thurlow, J. Collier, Gurnsey, W.E. Hook, Kilburn, Continent Stereoscopic Company, C.R. Savage, Forsyth, Cross, Bierstadt, Jackson, Illingworth, Bennett, Soule, Houseworth, Reilly, Taber, and more.
