Overview

The Early 20th Century Design auction features an array of European and American art glass and art pottery, Art Nouveau and Art Deco furniture, and lighting and metal ware by leading makers of the period. Highlights include a Rookwood Faience Tableau depicting a whimsical circus scene with clowns playing musical instruments and a dog jumping through a hoop; a suite of chairs designed by Josef Hoffmann for Thonet; a Pairpoint "Puffy" Apple Tree lamp; exceptional examples of glass by Tiffany Studios, Émile Gallé, Daum and René Lalique; and a collection of Swedish art pottery by Josef Ekberg and Gunnar Nylund, to name a few.
