IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR BIDDERS (Updated 3/17/2020)

Out of an abundance of caution for our staff and clients, Cowan’s has decided to hold the Wednesday, March 25 Collectible Firearms and Accoutrements auction as a Timed Auction on Cowan’s website. If you had previously left absentee bids on Cowans.com for this auction, those bids have been transferred over to the Timed Auction format. You can view and/or edit your bids by logging into your My Cowan's account on cowans.com.

About the Auction

Cowan's Auctions is pleased to present our March 25, 2020, auction which covers many of the collecting genres.  Particular interest include a fine collection of Smith & Wesson revolvers, a fantastic collection of Mills Patent Ammunition Belts and a large but diverse collection of classic Ruger firearms.

Timed Auction
Special Collections items are available for absentee bidding only. You can browse the catalog and place bids at any time.

Absentee Bidding
This platform operates using the "proxibid" method - you may place a high bid and the system will bid on your behalf up to that limit.

5-Minute Closing Rule
Starting at 12:00 PM (Noon) on the Final Date, all lots will close starting with lot #1. There will be a 1 minute period between each item until all items close.

Extended Bidding
Any bids placed within 5 minutes of the closing time will extend bidding by another 15 minutes. This rule will apply continuously until no bids are placed within the 5 minute period.

Email Notification
You will receive an email notification:
-each time you place a bid
-when you are outbid on any lot
-at the close of the auction if you are the high bidder

End of the Auction
You will receive an invoice detailing the hammer price, a buyer's premium charge, sales tax (for Ohio residents) and a shipping quote. To schedule a payment, contact us at payment@cowans.com, or call our office at 513-871-1670.

There will be a Buyer's Premium charge of 20% added to the final price of each item sold in this auction.
