The December 11 Post War and Contemporary sale will offer yet another strong selection of works by the Chicago Imagists following up on the record setting prices achieved for artists from the collective in September. Imagist highlights include 1970s paintings by Roger Brown, Miyoko Ito, Ed Paschke, Barbara Rossi and Ray Yoshida. The sale also features compelling British Modernist works by Lynn Chadwick, Henry Moore, and Ben Nicholson as well as noteworthy abstract paintings by Friedel Dzubas, Sam Gilliam, Robert Goodenough and Paul Jenkins. Additionally, the sale will offer property from numerous private collections and estates, including the Estate of David C. Heath, founder of Heath Gallery in Atlanta, the Estate of John Reiss, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Property from A Corporate Art Collection.
