Hindman is proud to present our Western Art, Including Contemporary Native American auction, featuring over 250 lots by past and present masters. The sale features property from numerous private collectors and noteworthy institutions. Several works of art from the distinguished collection of Homer E. Noble of Denver, Colorado will be sold, including an illustrated letter from Charles Marion Russell dated 1918 and a spectacular painting entitled View of Zion by Thomas Moran. Another highlight of the auction is an iconic painting of Mountain Caribou by Carl Clement Moritz Rungius, from Palm Springs Art Museum being sold to support the care of collections and the George Montgomery Fund for acquisitions. The Contemporary Native American portion of this sale features strong examples of work by Earl Biss, Diego Romero, Grace Medicine Flower and Charles Loloma. The large, bold Horse and Rider by Fritz Scholder rivals anything brought to market in recent memory.
