Overview

Cowan's final sale of 2022 offers a cross-section of collectible and sporting arms ranging from Parker and L.C. Smith shotguns, to World War I and World War II vintage rifles and pistols, South American Mauser rifles, early European autoloading pistols, Frontier Era arms, modern sporting firearms, and an assortment of modern handguns.

The sale begins with a series of pre-Civil War handguns, followed by a collection of antique shotguns before proceeding to late 19th and Early 20th century military arms. The sale will then cover a small collection of Imperial Japanese swords followed by Second World War military arms. The final selections include modern sporting long-arms succeeded by modern handguns including many with accessories and cases.

Timed Auction
Special Collections items are available for absentee bidding only. You can browse the catalog and place bids at any time.

Absentee Bidding
This platform operates using the "proxibid" method - you may place a high bid and the system will bid on your behalf up to that limit.

5-Minute Closing Rule
Starting at 12:00 PM (Noon) on the Final Date, all lots will close starting with lot #1. There will be a 1 minute period between each item until all items close.

Extended Bidding
Any bids placed within 5 minutes of the closing time will extend bidding by another 15 minutes. This rule will apply continuously until no bids are placed within the 5 minute period.

Email Notification
You will receive an email notification:
-each time you place a bid
-when you are outbid on any lot
-at the close of the auction if you are the high bidder

End of the Auction
